The body of a Croydon teenager was tragically found in the River Thames last week, police have said.
Emergency services were called at 12:03pm on Tuesday, April 3, to Shadwell Pierhead, which is off Glamis Road, in Tower Hamlets, east London, to reports of a body seen in the River Thames.
Metropolitan Police officers, London Ambulance Service (LAS) paramedics and the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) all attended the location and discovered the body.
The body has since been identified as that of a 16-year-old boy from Croydon, the the son of Nigerian parents according to the Met
The boy’s parents had to identify the body.
