There seems to be no stopping eminent diasporan Dr Dayo Olomu as he bags yet another prestigious award of “Icon for Societal Development”
This honour was conferred upon the youthful Dayo by the ECOWAS Youth Council (EYC) in Lagos in commemoration of International Youth Day
This award comes while still basking in the euphoria of being inducted into the first-ever ‘Nigerian Diaspora Global Hall of Fame” as one of the 100 Most influential Nigerians in the Diaspora in the World by the Nigerian International Diaspiran Oeganisation (NIDO)
Dr Dayo Olomu was also inducted into the EYC HALL OF FAME.
EYC is the continental representative organization of democratic youths union founded in 1952.
It is also affiliated to the International Youth Council (IYC) and has a consultative status with UNESCO, ECOSOC, UNICEF, ECOWAS, AU and enjoys a working relationship with the UN system.
This Award/induction, given its importance is bestowed on eminent sons, daughters, institutions, and corporate concerns Africans who have distinguished themselves in their various endeavours
According to the organisers, “Yours therefore is not an exception as EYC wishes to encourage and motivate you to a higher excellence with award and induction into EYC hall of fame, taking holistic cognizance of your past dexterous achievement grass root development, reduction of unemployment and your immense humanity gesture which you have committed so much to interns of being magnanimous and philanthropic over the years”.
“This is a monumental honor of dignity cum outstanding commitment, dedication and inspirational leadership. The term HALL OF FAME denotes creativity, enterprise and exceptionally”.

The award was presented to Dr Dayo Olomu by Amb. Williams Kwesu, President of ECOWAS Youth Council in the presence of Amb. Smith Lawrence, Sec. Gen; Amb. Ademola Adebakin, S/West Publicity Secretay; Amb. Titilola Oluwapelumi , Director of Gender and Amb. Oyejobi Olakunle , S/West Coordinator.
DDO was honored in recognition of his selfless services, immense contribution, his humane philanthropic gesture and his unflinching support towards the development of youths and society at large.
The award was collected on his behalf by one of his mentees turned associates, Ayoola Iwayemi, a top HR professional, transformational speaker, Attitude Catalyst, Corporate Trainer and a National Builder based in Lagos.
